Dean starts wearing the glasses used for seeing hellhounds around everywhere to discover other things hidden from his vision. At first he notices nothing. Until one day, Cas shows up and Dean can't seem to take them off.
Based off a post I saw on Insta about what if Dean could also see Cas' wings with the glasses on. Not my original idea:)

Who is that guy that suddenly appears at Castiel's school, who the bullies are afraid of and who seems to know details about him that Cas can't remember to have ever told someone? During a dangerous case with Sam and Dean something goes wrong and Castiel goes missing, this isn't like the other times Cas has disappeared, this is different, it's strange even for Cas. With Castiel gone Dean doesn't eat or sleep he just drinks and prays wondering if Cas can hear him. Day and night he checks the newspapers and police reports from every city, and county in the US for any sign of the trench coat angel. With no leads things become even more bleaker. Dean throws himself down a hole, and Sam is becoming increasingly worried about about Dean so he seeks out help from from another angel to see if they know anything about the whereabouts of Castiel. Castiel is lost he doesn't know where he is or who he is. He just goes where his feet take him. He never eats or sleeps but he doesn't he have to, he doesn't know why he doesn't eat and it doesn't bother him much cause it would just slow him down.
