This is how I think Allegiant should have ended. They deserved a life. And family. They went through too much. So here is my idea of how it should have ended:
Tris prior survived the weapons lab and tobias saved her. What will they do now? Will they live in peace now that the factions have been reinstated? What happens when a new group called the defiant start preparing fOr a war? The friends and family they thought dead start showing up alive. How? Who else is alive? What happens when a little bit of family shows up in tobias' life. What happens when a girl shows up tris never thought she would meet? Can they really trust the defiant? What will tris and Tobias do now that they also have a family to look after. Can they ever really be safe?

Allegiant Alternate Ending
Like so many others, I was not happy with the way Allegiant ended. I thought Veronica Roth did a beautiful job of writing Tobias's perspective after Tris's death, but I felt like her death was meaningless because it could have been avoided. Having her die because she forgot her gun in the hallway was an insult to her character. Tris was way too smart for that. I needed their happy ending as well as one that did the characters justice. Transcendent
We all know what happens at the end of Allegiant,right. Well what would have happened if Tris didn't die but was saved by a secret government organisation. Under a new name and a new appearance, Tris must travel back to Chicago if she is to stop a reckless serial killer. But when she finds out Tobias has moved on, and with someone she would have never expected, everything comes crashing down. But will she stay in order to protect the ones she loves and herself? This is an alternative ending to Allegiant. I own none of the original characters as the amazing Veronica Roth does. But some are a figment of my imagination. Moving Forward (Prequel to Starting Over)
After Allegiant Everyone thinks Tris is dead, but that's because that's what she wants them to think. In reality she had to take drastic chances to save the people she loved, even if it means getting hurt in the process. You know what they say, desperate times call for desperate measures. With Tris gone Tobias feels like he's falling apart, especially when they go back to Chicago and the factions are put back into place. Everyone keeps telling him it'll be alright, but with Tris gone how can it be? He feels broken and has to do the only thing he knows how to do: put up walls. If nobody can get in nobody can hurt him again. This is the prequel to Starting Over so if you read it first you won't miss anything but there may be a few spoilers. Allegiant a new ending
So, the ending to Allegiant sucks tremendously. I mean countless tissue boxes have been wasted while reading it. So I have created an alternate ending. Veronica Roth is the author of this wondrous story line, and sadly I'm a homily fan girl. I'm not the best writer so there's grammar and spelling issues, HUGE ALLEGIANT SPOILERS! Allegiant's "Actual" Ending
This is an alternate ending to Allegiant to replace the tragic original. I’ve used as much original material possible and what I can to make it the best it can be. I think I’ve succeeded in making sure everything is as realistic, for the characters, as possible and given closure. I love Divergent and I hope you'll love my version of the end of the book.
