Death had already come to get 21 year old Merry Wistern . She wasn't torn at the fact that she had a whole life ahead of her , not when her future seemed duller than a burn out light bulb . And she had already found peace in her afterlife . Everyone there had . Merry especially had found the power to part oceans and roar fires . And with a flick of her finger she could get whatever she wanted to eat . It was paradise .

Until one day , she and her new afterlife neighbours find out that if they die there , they get revived back to the world , ie: get a second shot at life. 

But no one wants to go through the life crap again .  Not when they finally got a taste of paradise . So everyone tries their best to cling on to death .
