Nailah and her mother, Layla, both live near Egypt's Silk Road, where the mornings are burning hot, and the nights bitter cold. Nailah's dad died from typhoid disease when she was only a year old--at least that's what her mother told her. With news that her country has ordered an attack on Assyria for border control, Egypt keeps an eye on their most prized possession. Little do any of the villagers know, that their most prized possession is Nailah. One evening, Nailah goes to the local bazaar and is taken captive by a few Assryian soldiers. These Assyrian soldiers escaped the pharaoh's eyes. With their buff figures, she isn't able to break free. Nailah is faced with secrets everywhere she turns. Is she able to make it through this rough period? Or will she perish with the final call of betrayal?
