I've always been a fan of progression fantasy. However, I do feel disappointed by many of them, with too many characters that vanish into irrelevancy, sometimes arcs that are overly repetitive and a lack of characters ideals. In this story, I aim to instill more character ideals, motivations, and integrate said characters throughout the story, and ensure their interaction with the main character remain relevant to his heart. Perhaps, it's best to say I want the story to have a 'human spirit' that one could feel in old-school wuxia and action/adventure stories.

He eventually comes to find out that it was Wei Ying's pain. What will he do when he realizes that Wuxian couldn't actually feel his own pain? Title inspired by Arrows To Athen's song Dust and Gold, which explores the human condition of feeling incomplete and disconnected, questioning the meaning of one's existence and searching for something beyond material possessions to give life deeper significance. ---------- Mo Dao Zu Shi inspired Fan Fiction: Characters are not mine but from MDZS and the inspiration of this FF was of reading various books and watching all the Untamed and MDZS.
