The protagonist lives in a world where molecules and atoms disappear from their body for each sin, crime, or wrong they have done. This reaction is unknown on why and how it happens. Scientists and the government have named it "Criminal De-materialized Reaction (CDR)" The main concept/moral here is that it shows that no one in this world is perfect and it shows imperfections in every person.

Gen Korudo is fading away to oblivion. His parents worried for their only child, decided not to inform him about the world's situation, Leaving the child to suffer and unearth the earth's cruel curse on their own. People judged and assessed over Gen by his outer looks when he truly is innocent and bed-ridden of the ongoing situation. Growing up to the age of sixteen, Gen was on the verge of being a forgotten.
