People say things can change drastically in just a couple years. I couldn't agree more.
In just a few years I went from a regular kid in high school, to Ruler of a zombie species. Of course for everyone else, it was much more than a few years, it was three hundred to be precise.
Once the Crawlers wiped themselves out all that long ago, we thought it was over, that Humans would regain control of the planet and things would soon go back to normal. We were wrong.
After another man tried to wipe out the human race, it was made apparent that even the original Crawlers may not have died out.
They're more illusive than their ancestors, it is unclear whether this entails their danger or not.

The 'things' are as you would call it zombies but of greater skill. They disguise themselves as humans yet they will not hesitate to kill you and eat you. If someone is a 'thing', automatically presume them dead, or at least soon to be dead. It will always take about 2 weeks to become fully changed, hopefully you can chop of that body part in time for the infection to stop. If you can't, put an end to your soon to be painful and horrible turn/death. These beings as I announced only a moment ago, look exactly like a human, two way to tell if they are one or not, their attitude and their eyes. They don't have emotions, only hunger and let me tell you, they will go out of their way to eat you, they will speak but it will sound different... Deformed almost. The eyes are usually the first to become infected, they become slightly red at first, as time progresses so does the intensity of the color red in the eye. The color in their eyes they once possessed, will seem dull, it will seem as if they are unfocused or unfamiliar with their surroundings. Trigger warning - Severely sensitive topics. Around 25 years ago, an unknown virus plagued the Earth- targeting none other than the cells responsible for constructing one's genetic code. Humans, animals, plants- any living matter that comes in contact with it quickly faces its immense mutational power, sparking nothing but unruly destruction. This living nightmare demanded more than a simple adaptation, it forced a complete overhaul on daily life. A radius considered a "Safe Zone", as it incapacitates any infected attempting to breach its perimeter. Its the perfect environment to rebuild what's left of society. On the flip-side, the infected create nests of their own, producing genetic amalgams beyond human comprehension, and attracting many others of their kind. It is assumed that their sole objective is to propagate. Consume. These are called "Contamination Zones", and their increased numbers have caused dozens of Colonies, and outposts alike, to suffer breaches and irreversible changes all over the continent. The infected are ruthlessly growing stronger. Rhys, the Warden of Zamaton Colony, has taken measures to prevent the catastrophic events from ever reaching their quiet life, where Kayden Moss, the survivalist in question, has lived for the past 3 years. If all goes well, they'll avoid these breaches, Or so it seems...
War for Change
Humanity used to thrive in 2035 until a group of scientists started playing God. This science team was recruited by all the top world leaders and they've begun receiving demands for a super soldier, and they began experimenting on animals, which gave the scientists expected results, but like all experiments, there was a chance for failure. The humanoid animals, or Anthros for short, started getting smarter, faster than the scientists expected, or reacted. The Anthros broke free and took what was left of the 'White Mist,' the substance that created them, and put it into the planet's air supply. Long story short, most animals worldwide have begun transforming into Anthros, and started devastating the world's militaries before attacking cities. Humanity is now facing extinction with their last millions while the Anthro civilization is over 2 Billion strong and counting. The war between Humans and Anthros has lasted for over 50 years, and while humans may be disadvantaged against the Anthros higher strength, speed, endurance, and intelligence, they still beat Anthros with improvisation, adaptability, and tactics. The war has destroyed all four Eastern continents, leaving behind a creature both Humans and Anthros call Reapers, who are husks of the person they were. The Anthros have near complete control over North America and are fighting Humanity in South America, but the main human bases are located on the Hawaiian islands. With death seeming inevitable for human kind, can nothing stop humanity from extinction? Zero has just graduated from high school with good marks and a scholarship. His family wanted to celebrate, so they said they would wait for him. He went back to grab his wallet, and as he turned around, he started falling in a wormhole, closing afterwards. The infection spread, wiping out almost half the human race, and leaving the rest as either Crawlers or Survivors. The infected's eyes will black out, before giant, black, bug-like legs will rip out of their back, giving them a newfound speed and agility, as well as an insatiable bloodlust. Body fluids entering any open wound, including the eyes, mouth, and nose, will seal the person's fate; they are now infected. It won't be long before they start screeching at the moon in a mock howl. The problem is, I am infected. I turned but retained most of my humanity. With my new lifestyle in a new world, I can't expect anything or anyone to act as I predict. The furries had a heart to the human children that they find and rescue much of them as possible and raise them as their own child. Firstly, A trigger warning for mental health/ self inflicted wounds when reading. you're only 18 years old. your name is zoe. you always had a love for the apocalypse but didn't think it would truly happen. and you slowly learn that nobody is who they say they are. Nobody is to be trusted. Things are gonna fall apart, and nobody can save us now. This book is being rewritten again and hopefully is better than the first and second time it was published. It's kind of cringe most of the way. Wrote it when i was like 13-14 years old or something and tried rewriting when I was about 16. Didn't work. Trying to rewrite it again at 20 but i don't think the first two books are saveable. Book three so far however is going well(i believe anyway). The second book has also been rewritten and will be rewritten again. now I'm working on finishing book three. All characters are mine but ellis is not I will be changing a lot of character names again in this rewriting process in all books, ellis being the biggest.Terminé
