The stranger puts his arm around the stunned lawyer. Behind the unknown man's dark glasses are bloodshot eyes ready to scare the wits out of his prey. "Your mother does. She's expecting me to greet you happy birthday." Removing his dark glasses, he stares at his victim to corrupt his eyes. Insurmountable fear assaults Artemis as excruciating pain drills on his eyeballs. A horrible scream slits through the silence of the night when the clock strikes twelve. As the elevator opens, the stranger loosens his grip and the victim falls on the floor. Covering his bleeding eyes, Artemis winces from severe pain. The man whistles away as he walks past the dead body of the security guard in the lobby to the snowy road outside the building. His victim crawls out of the closing elevator. The curse is true. This leads to lots of training during childhood and your parents had very high expectations which were their children all needed magic like them. The problem with you is that you have no magic, no matter how much your father makes you do intense training and your mother makes you study super hard. Most of the info never stuck since her method was not effective with you. Furious and frustrated they found and tried another way... Forcing you to take a lacrima. The results... also made the furious so you ran away from home. Where better to go than a small guild that nobody talks about anymore when it fell from grace 7 years ago.
