First piece of fanfiction so be nice please! Based on the events that happen in Casualty, but my fanfic don't necessarily correspond exactly to the show, or vice versa. I'm still a student, so my knowledge of medicine is not exactly the best, hence why the diagnosis and medicines used are all either from Google, or what have been written in the Casualty script. Connie and Jacob are together but things are never 'easy' in her life, especially when she's made to choose - her job or her life...

Connie left for America with her daughter and Sam, they'd spent four years in America before they moved back to Holby. She had a family with them and it was great at the start, but Sam would always be Sam and Connie would always be Connie. Six years on and everything seems to have gone back to the days when Connie was pregnant, she just wanted someone who had eyes for her and only her, but that wasn't Sam anymore. Title is from the song Try - Nelly Furtado. Heard it and this is where the idea sort of started from :)

Four years... She's been alone... Lies... Lost... Alone...

The day that changed everything, their lives would never be the same again. The road to recovery is long and slow, with no guarantees that things will ever get better. Although Connie is physically fine, she wished she could say the same for her mental state.
