Frostvine High is a school meant for special students: only those born into families able to use magical abilities can enter the island where it's located. And that is only once they turn sixteen.
But magic school is the last place where Alice wants to be. Staying home and waiting three years for her older brother's graduation had already been dreadful... and she can't fathom the idea of having to do it all over again. What she wants is to be home, isolated from the outisde world and free to spend the entire day in her bed, resting. Ignoring how tired her body constantly feels.
But as soon as she gets to school and activates her ability, her energy immediately starts returning and she begins feeling a lot livelier. It's not all perfect, but classes are actually not that bad and she's even making some friends. Gradually, Alice starts to realize that school might not be as bad as she initially thought it would be.
That is, until one of the students is found dead in the courtyard.
With the ways out of the island mysteryously blocked, and more and more students turning up sick, Alice will struggle to uncover the unknown causes of these phenomena before she herself ends up the same way.

With an endless amount of twists and turns this is my seconds story and it is basically about a girl who does not realize what she is doing.... This is the story as they try to keep their biggest darkest secret of what they are capable of and as they discover they're not the only ones like them... I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else.
