You have just transferred to Nekoma after previously attending Aoba Johsai. You felt sad considering it means you've moved away from your childhood friends- Iwaizumi Haijme and Oikawa Toru.
As a first year, and even prior to high school, you had been dating Oikawa. But during your move at the start of your second year, your parents and friends on the volleyball team tell you to breakup with Oikawa. You believed the reason for it was because you were moving and left it at that.
Once starting your second year of high school at Nekoma, you befriend your classmate Kozume Kenma and get introduced to the volleyball team. There you meet a third year that's quite similar to your ex, but better.
The Nekoma volleyball team ends up getting you to be their manager. They end up learning about the truth behind the breakup and Kuroo Tetsuro decides to be gentle and help you through everything, despite you hiding your true feelings around everyone else.
