Naomi Scott is virtually friendless. Except for Bill the bus driver. But you can't exactly hang out with your bus driver. She is lonely and spends all of her time hiding in her room on her laptop or reading. Friends don't come easy for her. But, then again, who needs friends? Certainly, she can live without them, but, it would be nice to have some form of a buddy around every once in a while. 

One day, she say a boy being teased in the hallway for being gay. Naomi stood up for him, and they became immediate friends. They both said that of people saw them be together, they would think they are dating, and the rumors about the boy would end. They played their game throughout their entire sophomore year. Little did either one know that they had feelings for each other, despite their orientation, and that love is love, it just comes in different forms of human.
