Our story starts with two boys called Dan and Phil. They were born in the same sleepy town and had been inseparable for the first 11 years of their life. Their parents were friends, they lived on the same street, and they enjoyed all the same things. Everything was perfect.
That is until disaster struck. They were at a sleepover when their parents were killed in a car crash as they carpooled back from a dinner party, and the boys became orphans. They were sent to the same orphanage for a couple years and managed to stick together until Dan was suddenly adopted and swept off to a faraway city. Soon after, Phil was adopted as well.
The boys never spoke again, and as hard as they tried, they couldn’t track each other down.
Fast-forward to present time: Dan and Phil have both graduated and moved to London. They arrive at their shared apartment, arranged through the internet, to find a roommate with a familiar face.
Phil is an orphan, bullied, and living alone with no friends in a home. He does his best not to let that fact that no one seems to care about him get to him, but it's getting harder. Then a nice couple start to take interest in him, and it turns out they have a son his age, Daniel, but the love they begin to share isn't of a brotherly nature...
