Nineteen years old, Clara Moreau, comes from a high-class family. Her mother, Adelaide, plans to set her up with any successful and wealthy man as her future husband. However, Clara has big dreams of being an independent woman who wants to search for the love she always pictures in her sleep. She is not a fan of early marriages and despises being arranged with someone with who she shares no love.

Hayden Winston, a twenty-one-year-old, briefly meets Clara at a ball event where all rich families join together.
