Every sound in my world is amplified due to the silence. Every footstep, every ticking clock in every classroom, every pen that clicks or drops to the floor, every little sharp sound is so loud in my head that it pisses me off. I also don't do well under pressure, but I'm always trying so hard to calm down that it puts me under even more pressure. I only know two emotions and have my whole life. I've only ever been those two. I don't get sad, I don't feel happy or exited. I'm either angry or unbearably lonely. I'm grade school, some kids thought I was the devil. I'm not. I'm just....I'm just different. So don't go around thinking I'm some kind of demon, okay?!

I was just a girl. The girl who was bullied and picked on for being small and mute. I didn't think I would become what I was now. I didn't even know how I became this way. I was just the girl who never knew.

Darkness. That's all I saw complete and utter darkness. 'Maybe I'm dead' I thought 'Or blind'! I screamed at the top of my lungs. Five minutes later my mom is yelling at me to open my damn eyes. 'And the school says I'm smart' I think sarcastically.

I learnt the hard way that wanting to be normal is just wishful thinking. More specifically when I found out who my dad really was. Then again, having a child while I was still a kid myself already sealed the deal on being anything but normal. But I was happy, for a moment. Until I was introduced to an entirely new world or worlds that I wish I wasnt apart of but now its impossible to avoid.

I knew I was a freak, I'm weird not stupid - even if I did act like it half the time. It wasn’t normal to be like me, to be afraid of things everyone loves, needs to survive even. I had always been afraid of it for some reason, among other things of course; I would rather die than have to face my fear. Everyone knew it but no one cared though did they? I was just another stupid kid in this stupid foster home. Another stupid kid that had been ‘dumped’ and no one wanted. At least, that's what I thought.

I'm not a freak, everyone thinks I am but they don't know me, don't know what I have to face so why do they judge?

I've always hated describing my life, as if it were unquestionably lame or short. But I knew something was wrong once the new year began. I mean, why would Mr. Jenkins be interested in a normal girl like me? Especially when he's so special, so different? I never expected this...

I stand outside my home broken and shattered, who I am I don't know. I stare at my ever pale hands and try to see what made me like this from under my skin, but I guess I wasn't given that kind of gift but I have in me some form of powers that seemed to have brought me misfortune. I owe this all to my dad because if he never met my mom maybe just maybe I would have been born normal. I wish I wasn't born a freak, born a hybrid.
