"Black Beauty" is narrated as an autobiographical memoir told by the titular horse named Black Beauty—beginning with his carefree days as a colt on an English farm with his mother, to his difficult life pulling cabs in London, to his happy retirement in the country. Along the way, he meets with many hardships and recounts many tales of cruelty and kindness.

Using the eyes of it's Keeper, the flame chooses who it will burn and who it will heal. The flame sees beyond what we as mere humans see and will react with or without it's Keeper's consent. And the Keeper is force to carry the burdens this flame has, whether from the flame itself or from those seeking to use it for themselves. But Coda Theodore Wolf, Second Prince of the Northern Kingdom never imagined it would be one of his best friends that would be one of those who sought after his curse and cause his nightmare to only get worse.
