His rich, velvety voice sent thrills down my spine as he spoke my name. His intense, mesmerising gaze focused on mine, making it impossible to look away. As he drew me closer, his powerful arms wrapped around me, and I could feel the warmth of his breath against my skin. The aroma of his fragrance, a seductive blend of spice and musk, filled the air, making my heart race and my senses whirl. It's as if every aspect of him is intended to captivate and enchant me, keeping me completely entranced. Release me," I muttered, feeling my cheeks heat up as I stubbornly avoided his gaze. He let go like he had forgotten to do so. For a few seconds, neither of us said anything. I fiddled with the hem of my sleeve, pretending I was calm, while secretly screaming inside. Why is he just standing there? Say something, idiot! Finally, he broke the silence. "So, why were you ignoring me?" he asked in low, almost accusing. "Why would I ignore you?" I lied without flinching, acting like innocent. But he wasn't buying it. "I saw you," he said, stepping a little closer. "You ducked behind a door like you were dodging bullets. You thought I wouldn't notice?" Ugh, busted. I rolled my eyes. "Maybe I just didn't have any reason to confront you," I replied, crossing my arms as a shield against how close he was now. He leaned in slightly, smirking, "Oh, but you had plenty of reasons to hang around those guys at the swimming pool, huh?" he shot back. "I was just... talking," I said defensively. "It's called being social. You should try it sometime instead of lurking around like a spy." He chuckled, "Lurking? Please. I was just passing by. I was surprised when I saw you laughing with those guys like you were starring in some rom-com." I refuse to back down. "And what if I was?" I challenged. He didn't flinch. Instead, he tilted his head with a mock-thoughtful expression. "Then I guess I'd have to remind you... there are better options around " he said, tapping his chest casually.

𝐑𝐔𝐁𝐘 𝐉𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐒 is an outgoing and ambitious party girl. Behind that big, bright smile, is a broken person with a hidden trauma but she hides all of it with her extroverted and bubbly personality but there are moments where her past catches up with her. Even though her fights with her past are hard, she's always been able to make new friends in a minute. She's the life of the party, effortlessly charming others, and she's not afraid to put someone in their place with a quick sarcastic comment. Charming, cocky, and good enough to hide it, 𝐀𝐓𝐋𝐀𝐒 𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐋𝐔𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐈 is a guy who is always noticed, the golden boy of the school. Girls wanted to be with him and boys wanted to be him. Atlas has that classic "cocky but likable" vibe. He knows he's good-looking, and he's not afraid to flaunt it. Whether it's his perfect hair, sharp jawline, or the way he fills out his clothes just right, he exudes a level of confidence which is part of his appeal. He has never met a woman he could win over with his charm except for Ruby fucking Jones. 𝐀𝐓𝐋𝐀𝐒 & 𝐑𝐔𝐁𝐘 have known each other for as long as they can remember, but they've never gotten along. From childhood, there's been a constant friction between them, almost as if they were born to clash. While their friends and families have long expected them to grow out of it, their rivalry has only intensified over the years. From day one, she's had a quick, snarky remark ready for every cocky comment he made. Atlas has always found her refusal both frustrating and, in a way, challenging. He's used to people admiring him, but Ruby never gives him the satisfaction. But what happens when he moves in front of her? Will anything happen that changes how they feel about each other or are they going to be enemies for the rest of their life?

"I... Am here to see you.", I told him as I placed my hands around his neck. I could feel my heart beat getting faster but I had to keep it strong if I had to survive this scenario. "What?", Brandon asked completely startled. I leaned in more closer to him. The only good thing in this entire scene was that he wasn't pushing me back due to my creepy behaviour. "Oh... Bran, I was missing you so much, I just... I needed to see you.", I said as I came up with lie. "Are you drunk?", Brandon asked as he leaned in closer trying to smell my mouth. Thank God Fel had given me her mint gum only moments before I went commando and came inside the locker room. "What?", I scoffed still standing extremely close to Brandon. "I just.... I was missing your gorgeous face.", I told another lie. But wait? His face is gorgeous so that isn't a lie. And was I not missing seeing him? I noticed Brandon who just had his eyes popped out of his socket with bewilderment at my words. I decided to peck him on the cheek before I storm out of the locker room. I leaned ahead to peck Brandon who moved his face in my direction and instead of his cheeks, our lips crashed. Brushing against each other, our lips touched. I could feel fireworks exploding inside my entire body. With my neurological system not responding anymore. ******* Depicting the hostility and vulnerability of a young woman to a society the story centers around a normal sophomore, Amy Cole, who had a normal life. Well way too normal for her situation. Amy's life was all good until one day, when her friends dumped her and blamed her for something she never even did. Her life takes a complete turn as her childhood crush, Brandon Mayhew, the Mayor's son, who once broke her heart, rushes back into her life through a series of events. With new friends, shifting thoughts, confused feelings and fighting anxiety and standing for the right thing. Amy makes her way to the top. Only to get at the top of everyone's hate list.
