Mackenzie is just your ordinary, everyday girl except for one thing: Demi Lovato has been her legal guardian since she was about 4 years old. Mackenzie doesn't let anyone know, however, because she doesn't want to be used. But what will happen if Demi accidentally mentions her during an interview, on live television?
Mackenzie is thrown head first into the world of paparazzi, fake friends, and, worst of all, hate. There are perks though, now she can hang out with Demi whenever she wants, she can meet famous people, and she gets free stuff from everyone.
But Mackenzie has secrets, dark secrets, that she doesn't want the world to find out. What if someone finds out? How will Mackenzie survive under the microscope of paparazzi and keep her secrets, just that, secrets?
