The glass walls that Crescent has surrounded herself around that work as a buffer against the world are put to the test as dreams that start as normal nightmares begin to have a haunting affect on her as slowly she begins to connect the pieces that are presented to her when her eyes flutter closed by using real life. The glass walls shatter into tiny shards scattered along the floor as she learns the truth that turns her world upside-down and makes her question if her sanity is all that important as the shards cut into the soles of her bare feet as she walks farther away from what used to be her sanctuary.
