Boruto and Shikadai both have parents who work day and night, rarely got time to spend with them. Shikadai was always alone when his father stayed over night at the hokage office while his mother travels between Konoha and Suna. Naruto: Divine
In an alternate timeline where Naruto and sasuke fought in the valley of the end and Sasuke won. However, fate decided to take a different turn of events. Instead, Sasuke decided to take unconscious Naruto with him. Naruto learnt the truth about his mother and uzumaki ancestry after all the secrets and lies told to him about his life.
