The Balance (First Draft | Discontinued)
A brutal war. A girl raised as a proud soldier, all too willing to fight and die for her country. A man whose life has been shattered, remade into one of fear and rage and hate. A boy who is caught in the web of politics, who experiences horrible things not meant for anyone, much less a child as young as he. This is a tale of two countries at war, and the lives of the people who reside there, featuring some supernatural powers, heavy religion, and some quite frankly terrible people. The story and its characters are my creation; any similarity to other works or to current events is not intended. Plagiarism is not acceptable... honestly, have a bit of self-respect. They deserve what happens to them. Ever since they enslaved us, ever since they shackle us underground to bring them their ore or chain above ground to harvest their grain. We suffered, while they fattened their bellies. No more, now we deserve justice. We will ravage through their countryside, we shall burn their homes, and slaughter their young. For now, our rebellion has begun. The time of my people's slavery ends with me for I will lead my people to greatness. The Cinari will do anything to stop me, with their ancient war machines and pathetic armies. But I will push them back and claim what is rightfully mine. Eros, a world forsaken by its gods, left to be governed by kings and Magi, gifted with control over various elements. *** Some say the gods are dead. That Godswar left no victor standing. March, 1918, American soldiers arrived in France and the German empire launches the spring offensive on the allies. The German Empire creates a new gas has been developed to be used on the allies, with horrific results. Now 3 people must stop the gas from being used on London, and must fight off the infected.
