Breanna Blue has a different type of family. Her grandma came from another universe called Fortuneat. In that universe, Fortuneat means different in the Fortuneation language. Each Fortuneation has a constellation that represents them. Breanna has not found her constellation yet. She believes in order for her to find her constellation, she needs to find her color. So, when she joins the Painting Club, she meets a woman who is there to help her find her constellation and color as well. But when Fortuneat goes under attack, Breanna must find out how to save her other relatives in Fortuneat, while on the journey, Breanna finds that there is more to life than constellations.
