After murdoc is arrested 2d ends up becoming the temporary leader of gorillaz. It's quite overwhelming for the singer to take on his many new tasks as the new leader but he's doing his best to make the band proud. While looking for a bassist to temporarly replace murdoc he ends up meeting ace. At first the two are just friends and bandmates but in soon enough time the two become much more then just bandmates. FYI just to clear up confusion. These first of all are my comfort versions of the band. And second of all this is in no way following canon so if you don't like that i'm sorry. Memory!tale and comfort!village are worlds made by me!

2d is having trouble with the weird thoughts coming to his head. He dismisses it every time, coming up with a random excuse, " it's because I'm tired" is one of the main excuses. Until one day, when the thoughts get more than thoughts and become a pain in his chest. Murdoc knowing his feeling ever since 2d was in comatose, has been noticing the weird actions from him.

SOOO by the time he got arrested 2D was completely over it, right? So in comes Ace and boom. He's a cleaner(take this how you want) version of Murdoc. You're gonna have a lot of unanswered questions reading this, and I'm so sorry but I swear it'll make sense eventually.***
