"What were you trying to do?" The guy in front of me with big-brown eyes and ruffled mahogany hair yells at me, confused. The last thing I wanted was for someone to spot me here.
"S-swimming..." I reply since I couldn't come up with anything better.
"You were drowning!" He states, weirded out.
"I have to go." I say, trying to cover my face.
"Hey! Where are you going?" He questions me.
"Somewhere other than here." I reply as I run away as fast I could which is not that fast.

Meet Penelope Gardner.
On the outside, she's a seventeen year old girl with amazing friends and a loving family. She's funny and easy to get along with which is what most people around the world ask for. On the inside though, just waking up and living her day-to-day life is a struggle for Penelope. She wasn't always like this though. She was a content person before life hit her when everyone else around her was still trying to colour inside the lines. Now that she knows that there's nothing worth holding onto, she wants to end it all and while doing that, she's unexpectedly stopped by someone.
Now meet Spencer Linton.
He is an ordinary teenager who tries to find the positivity in the littlest things in life. He has a lot on his plate already which makes it harder for him to focus on things that bring him down. He is the kind of person who takes his health seriously thus, he met Penelope just in time while jogging on a track near the Huddington bridge.
Both of them embark on an enlightening journey, trying to put pieces together and frame a life worth living.
Will they succeed or will they end up bruised and battered?
