A mysterious infection spreads throughout the nation like wildfire. Society crumbles like a cookie. All of a sudden, there's no government, no military, no nothing. Only a few have survived this ravenous disease.

Diana wonders through the world of the dead alone until she discoveres a group which gladly invites her to join. But there's a guy. A crossbow-wielding badass. And she might have fallen for him. But how do you know for sure when your emotions are all over the place from the months of running from cannibals and the loss of loved ones?

Will Daryl give the quirky Diana a chance? Or will he just ignore her and treat her like he treats others in the camp?

"Why're you bein' so nice to me?" "I would want the same if I were you." Hope Starling was alone when the dead started rising. She had always been alone, with parents that had disowned her and no friends to help her. Inside the department store in Atlanta, she was ready to end it. Still, something was stopping her, but she can't explain it. Daryl Dixon is a lone wolf. Moody, arrogant, broken, he's labeled as the badass of the apocalypse. He will shoot you dead without a second thought if you cross him, and no one does. What he needs is an angel, a Guardian Angel. What happens when two people, seemingly polar opposites, meet?
