Phaedra Valorum is the half-Mandalorian daughter of ex-Chancellor Finis Valorum. A chubby and lonely child, Phaedra grew up motherless on Coruscant, trying to find a place to fit in at. She knew she didn't belong in her father's world of politics, fake smiles, and gentility.
So as a teenager, Phaedra went to Mandalore to try and reconnect with her mother and her Mandalorian heritage, only to have the proverbial door slammed in her face. Disowned by her mother at 18, Phaedra met the Bounty Hunter Jango Fett, who took her under his wing and trained her in the arts of combat.
Now as an adult, Phaedra finds herself in the 501st, fighting alongside her new mentor, Captain Rex, and her childhood friend, Anakin Skywalker. Being one of the few non-clones in the Grand Army of the Republic, she faces many challenges. The love she bore for Jango Fett makes her feel responsible for protecting the clones in a galaxy that treats them as property and cannon fodder. How does she come to terms with being banished from her mother's family and her right to the ancestral Beskar armor of her house? What future does she have being an ARC Trooper in an army where her face is the only unique one? What is the secret that Yoda knows about Phaedra? Why did her mother really abandon her? Why does she dream about CT-5555?
Will she die in battle? Or worse, will she survive the war and see the downfall of everyone she loves?
