This story takes place not long after Elena becomes Queen of Avalor. Elena, Isa and their friends (including Sofia, Amber and James) travel to Freezenburg to form an alliance with Crowned Princess Hildegard (who became Crowned Princess when her sister Astrid gave up her claim to the throne). Along the way; the friends learn that the King and Queen of Enchancia never returned to their kingdom, and that they were lost at sea. Amber learns that she's now officially Queen of Enchancia and must return home for her immediate Coronation, as they received word that Amber is now officially Queen of Enchancia; they are visiting the Black and White island prison of Queen Ivy, which has grown and flourished since Sofia last visited. And they will discover that a threat looms in the future that will cause an Interdimensional Conflict and they must align themselves with a faction called the United Republics of Earth to fight against the threat.
