Casey Hopper has lived an interesting life, yet she never had any real complaints. Growing up without a mother and being raised by her single father until he meets someone new. Casey is forced to leave her home of Hawkins and her best friend Steve Harrington to move to New York City. Things were great, with a new addition to the trio they become a little family. But when misfortune strikes, everything crumbles. Casey and her father move back to Hawkins, but nothing is quite the same. And now, at 17, she aides her father in solving the case of a missing Will Byers all while dealing with her unresolved feelings for a certain fluffy haired boy who could never feel the same. Vance Hopper never expected to spend the whole school year in Hawkins, Indiana. Summer's here were fine: bike rides with Mike, Will, Dustin, and Lucas, sleepovers filled with Dungeons & Dragons, and long days that ended at the quarry. But now his mom thinks he isn't adjusting well to life with her new baby, so she's sending him to live with his dad, Chief Jim Hopper. It's awkward enough trying to figure out what it means to live with a father who barely knows how to talk to him. It's harder when Vance can't stop thinking about Sara, his late twin sister, and how different everything might've been if she'd survived. But Hawkins isn't the kind of place where you just deal with family drama and middle school. Something is beneath. Something that feels like it's been waiting. When Will Byers disappears, Vance and his friends are pulled into a mystery bigger and darker than they ever imagined. And for Vance, facing the shadows of Hawkins might mean facing the ones inside himself. STARTED: 8/16/25
