Charlotte Wescott comes from an abusive past. For the holidays Charlotte's best friend invites her to celebrate Christmas with her family in Ireland. She agrees to go not expecting to fall for her best friend's cousin, the famous Niall Horan, from the popular boyband, One Direction. Charlotte has never really even heard of the band, except for the fact that their songs are always on the radio and all the girls at school obsess over them all the time. As the holidays go on the two find themselves sharing secrets, exploring the irish countryside and even falling in love. But then, tragedy strikes, and Charlotte has to rush back to America. Niall wants to go with her, but management gets in the way and the two find themselves thousands of miles apart. Then someone from Charlotte's past comes back into her life and she finds herself fighting for her life, needing the boy she fell in love with more than ever.
