My Wattpad life

Niyi: I want to have a Wattpad account but I'm scared.

Amy: Scared of what?

Niyi: Of being judged.

She typed for a very long time before I finally saw her message.

Amy: You can use a different name so that no one knows who you are.
You also don't have to be a writer, I was just saying that it'd be cool if you tried the app out.

Niyi Okosi is your average Nigerian teenage girl. Out of boredom, she creates a Wattpad account to read more books and hopefully gain the confidence needed to write her own.

But confidence, a great book, and a lot of followers is not enough to achieve Wattpad fame. With online weirdos, hackers and personal issues in the way it'll take a lot of perseverance to succeed here.

At some point Niyi feels like she just might drown in a self made sea of self despair. It's hard being a writer, especially when things are looking really bad.

But as the saying goes...

Good things come to those who wait.
