Clove has been training for one thing her entire life- winning the Hunger Games. She is the best knife thrower the training academy has ever seen and is obviously going into the games at some point. She just HAS to win the games, to prove herself to her dad. But at the end, will she want too?
Cato has never been loved by his parents. They don't care that he trains harder than anyone else at the training center, or that he is the strongest in his grade. The only family member he loves is his little sister, and he'll do anything to protect her. He has to avenge his brother and make a better life for his sister, and the only way he can do that is win the games.
Clove and Cato have never liked each other, but when its obvious they are the best candidates for tributes, they are forced to work and train together, and maybe learn a little too much about each other. Can they both make it out alive?

Death. DISCLAIMER: This story will follow the book/movie during the games, but this is also one out of the two books about Clove. This is a story about Clove and Cato (The tributes from 2), and how life was for them in the District Clove and Cato are training partners at the training center, and get along really well, and become really good friends, but when Cato decided to volunteer to go into The Hunger Games the same year Clove is will they be able to fight each other or will their friendship get in the way of that?? Clove's father turns abusive when her mother dies and when Cato finds out about that, he starts being even more protective of her, and their trainer, the famous Enobaria, finds out about Clove being abused and takes Clove in, and treats her like she is her daughter.
