It's Akaashi's first year at the Tokyo mage academy. And note not everyone is a mage, some people are just normal humans.
Humans are not a big fan of the mages because they have too much power in their eyes, but humans think the white mages are okay because they mostly just do healing.
He is also an omega sharing a room with an alpha but hides the fact that he's an omega and just tells everyone he is a beta.
