"We all have our vices, darling," he purred as he stared straight into my soul whilst draining the last drop of the amber liquid in his glass. I stared straight at him, at his intimidating frame and at his frightening shadow that seemed to suck out all the light in the room as I dreaded the words that were going to come from his mouth. "Some choose to hide it," He continued and I held my breath as he took a step closer to me until our bodies were separated by just a breath. He picked up a strand of my hair, continuing to stare straight into me with his eyes that held so much power and strength but above all, ruthlessness. "We just don't have to." ✼ Rosethorne university. Home to the rich. Home to the elite. Home to the superior. Securing a place here was no easy task but 18 year old newely poor and orphaned Velvet Richards had no other choice. She needed Rosethorne more than she had ever needed anything in her life. She needed it's blood. She needed it's destruction. She needed it all purely for her salvation. Her plan? Infiltrate the school and ruin what they hold dear to shake the very foundations they rely on to survive. Traditions. The biggest tradition? The initiation games. A cruel and sick twist of challenges to sort out and pick the best of the best, those of which become a member of the most elite club there is known to man. The Draven Society. There was no other option but to win these illustrious and impossible games and burn it from the inside out from the heart of the problem. The Draven boys. Atlas Oberdorf. Orson Taylor. Zyair Usman. But the three have little patience and very little morality. And they will see her ruin before anything else. Guess the winner takes it all in the initiation games. Funny thing was she never lost and even then, what did she really have left to lose anyway? ✼ Copyright @signedlayla2020 All rights reserved

Underage

I feel the breath of air on the back of my neck. My limbs freeze and my breath catches in my throat. The male hands grab me by the hips. I can't move. His lips are by my ear, grazing the skin, his teeth tugging on my earlobe. His breath is hot on my skin, his lips moving down to my neck. My head tilts slightly. I shake my head. He doesn't have a weapon, I do. I turn in his grip, raising my bat. He catches the swing with one hand. He doesn't even flinch. "I wouldn't do that baby." His voice is like velvet, filling up the room. His lips are back on my neck, his tongue trails over the skin. The voice, the lips, are familiar. "You might mess up my pretty face." "Pretty face, my ass." I let the bat drop to the floor in-between the two of us. I should've known. "What are you doing here?" "Besides scaring you shitless?" "You didn't-" "Don't lie, I saw what you did to those poor hangers." *** It's a game of cat and dog. A game that's lasted four years. A game that expires in three short months. It's a battle of wits, of sarcasm, of teasing one liners, of sloppy kisses that may lead to more but nothing passed physical. It's a game with no rules. And they seem to be breaking them all. Thea Shaw and Ethan Michaels have a complicated relationship. One that neither wants to come to an end. But with college nearing and feelings developing what will come of their little game? He promises her one last summer of underage fun; parties, sunsets, long talks, sweet kisses, and no talk of college until it's time to leave. There are only two ways this summer can end. Either in each other's arms or the breaking of their hearts. #4 in New Adult [COMPLETED]
