The goddess Aphrodite has been locked away on Mount Olympus all her life and never allowed to leave and go to the mortal world. Aphrodite is fed up with her family and their disagreements and wants to live her own life, so she decides to runaway. Aphrodite gives herself the name Iris as her mortal disguise, and n her way through the city of New York, she meets an energetic boy who is absolutely handsome. Aphrodite receives help from a mortal girl and starts to live with the girl, Amelia. Things take a turn for the worst for Aphrodite, and doesn't know whether to stay in the mortal world, or to go back to Olympus.
