La Desesperada

Cosette or as known as Mariposa Valentine was born in the Caribbean by her mother whom was mixed with North African and Iroquois blood (and participated in the revolution) and moved to the Newly country, United States. She made friends with all of her mothers close friends children (and even fell in love with one). But things start taking the turn for the worse, after her mother died and made her a renowned "Bastard orphan of the Caribbean" she is left in poverty with her aunt and cousins, and grows up in the lower class with dreams that will never be. When she was 13, her world was turned upside down from a tragedy to a happy ending, to being la Desesperada to la esperanza.
