After a gruesome murder in a courtyard on a the upper side of town investigator Benny Foriner is forced to separate fact from fiction. Working with little evidence he has to figure out what happened and who was there and stop the crimes from happening as it has caused copycats and encouraged the perp or perps to kill more than just the first person. Will he figure out who did it? Or will it just be another unsolved crime that disappears when the public loses interest?

After a terrible car crash resulting in the death of their parents, 17 year olds Dipper and Mabel Pines are sent back to Gravity Falls to live with their Grunkles. Mabel now hates Dipper, and blames him for the crash, since they were only out getting him his anxiety medication. The Grunkles don't fully agree with Mabels logic, but are still distant with Dipper, for they think he's a freak because of his anxiety. And so in the one place he felt he could truly call home, Dipper was now alone and hated by the "family" that once loved him. One night, Dipper overhears the family talking about how useless he is and, doing the only thing he knows, he runs.
