Before She Fades

Elena Gilbert was a great believer in the unextraordinary. She finds herself face to face with the one thing she refused to believe in since childhood: hope. From doctors' appointments to relationship upheaval, Elena is faced with a decision no one that young should make: to live or to die; metaphorically and literally. Entwined in a world of earthly evil, she soon finds herself racing against time and her own mortality to find answers to the questions that have been haunting her for years. Just as she was about to overcome her earthly evils, she is granted the gift and curse of being able to see that her evils are not the only ones still lingering. Can she put at rest the upheaval of her peers, or will she let go prematurely? But ultimately, can she find the answer to the one true question she has had since her creation? Is there a greater good even in all that is evil?
