Way had arrived at the bottom. He had not much to do down there except ruin himself and his life. So he took the first chance to get better. Not having ended his life turned out to be a blessing and his previous downfall helped him turn his life around. Being himself used to be a burden and he didn't really know how to live outside of addiction and self destructive behaviour. Having these new friends should help him. Even if he was crushing on one special friend, Way's convinced he will never turn back to his old habits. He swore he'd never do that again. If he just hadn't spoken to soon...

I know that I have had bad luck with guys since primary school people never took me serious enough. When my high school life started it was horrible. I met so much guys who just took my feeling for a fool and who played with them. Until I met Cameron in grade 10 he felt so different to the rest of the guys. "You don't want to get involved with me or even talk to me and that's not a threat it's a promise because everyone who does gets their hearts broken". "Well what If i want to get involved with you I'm not like everyone else". "You put up these walls to shut everyone out but maybe your just shutting yourself in from the world". Why do bad things happen to good people? A question that his boy is making himself more then ever this days. From the beginning we see a 17 year old boy, struggling to finish high School, filled up with insecurities, mental health issues, a toxic family home, and impossible standards to live up to. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more.
