Scientist/Geneticist: Hilary Reynolds; Experiment Code: Second Sun; Test Subjects: Ethan Reynolds (age 8), Lisa Reynolds (age 5), Roberta Reynolds (age 10); Observations: (RR) Eye color varies depending on day of the week. Physical powers seem limitless and grow with her will. She is rude and has low IQ. (ER) Eye color varies depending on day of the week. No special physical abilities. Learning how to use telekinesis and telepathy. High intellect, but not a significant grade. (LR) Eye color varies depending on day of the week. She has no power except her high intellectual skills. She understands more than the other two though she is the youngest. She poses small threat to my research with her ability to piece things together. (All) Can now manipulate appearance and morph into animals, plus invisibility. They can also now hover more than 3 feet from the ground. I fear they must have their memories of their power erased before I allow them to get out of homeschool. It must be done.

Two opposite sides come face to face, forcing each other to reconsider their version of the truth. *** A minority of the world's population carries a genetic modification. They are called deviants and some develop an ability by the age of seven. In the United States of America, deviants and humans fought each other in the Great War, which ended when the deviants lost. Fifteen years later, everyone lives finally in peace. But when an assassination takes place, it sets in motion several events that put Emily Roberts, the poster child of deviant integration, face to face with Rachel Moore, the leader of the terrorist group for the liberation of deviants. What is the truth and is it worth finding it out? Warning: depiction of trauma / violence / abuse.
