The letters are written to a young girl I imagined her name being Annabelle from an un named writer who writes about being on the ship, entering New York, the Immigration process, working in sweatshops, and everything inbetween

Annabelle - Will To Survive
Annabelle Rose, a twenty one year old who is unable to face her past traumas and inherent mental suffering. Due to this, she turns to narcotics that allow her an escape so she can function as a "proper" member of society and continue to do her mind numbing job at the New York Times where she works as a journalist. She is overly pessimistic, anxious, impulsive, and depressed with recurrent suicidal thoughts due to said trauma and unfulfilling relationships and work life. Annabelle acts as an impression of so many of the youth's struggles with facing their issues while maintaining their status in our hyper-competitive society. This is my first public introduction of Annabelle Rose, the main protagonist of my "Will To" trilogy that is currently in the making.
