I read a lot of stories and I dislike when the MC meets lots and lots of women which will lead to a harem and don't cut off loose ends like an idiot.

This is a book/novel/story (not sure myself hehe) which will be a bit typical, minus all the harem building moments, romantic encounters and forgetting to cut of loose ends which will be an annoyance later on.
