A world of darkness.
Demons hide behind corners, and monsters lurk in the shadows.
Thousands of years ago, the sky turned red, and nightmarish beings invaded this world.
They caused chaos, and the humans didn't know what to do.
But, within the darkness, there is always light. And along with the beings, God-like figures rose to power.
They brought hope.
But, every human that came in contact with them eventually caught an uncurable virus. It spread quickly, and sure enough, most of the population was dying off because of it.
and eventually, the humans had enough.
That is where our story begins.
--------------------
BlankTide was a sheltered child.
She only heard stories about the outside world and how terrible it was, as she was told to stay in the paradise her family lived in.
They had it all.
A steady supply of prey, safety, and wonderful relationships.
Well, that's what her mother thought.
BlankTide saw a different side of the story.
A prison. An endless loop. Those are both things she could use to describe this 'paradise' as she had to live with her two-faced father.
Thousands of years before, the gods had collapsed, leaving behind the monsters that are now roaming the world.
BlankTides life starts shattering when an unexpected murder occurs, and her family breaks. When more mysteries start appearing and lost tales of glory and destruction are being told once again, BlankTide has to question if her mother's smile is as genuine as she plays it off to be.
As they are forced into the outside world, they start realizing how scary it can be, and that they have to trust the darkest shadows in order to make it through this alive.
With their mother missing, And their father on a hunt for them, they must fight in order to survive, as ambitious gods crawl back to the living world, and a king attempts to reclaim his throne.
And they have to learn that sometimes, the light can be scarier than the darkness.
