Shuichi has never been the jealous type, in fact his whole life he had mostly gone about it alone. Yet, during this particular game a certain purple haired boy seemed to take a liking to him. Shuichi disregarded any feelings he had on the matter as to not distract himself from his true goal, beating the game. But after a fight and some unpleasant developments his full attention shifted to making sure the boy would stay by his side. Despite Kokichi's evil demeanor, it seems in this story he's not the true antagonist... so who's pulling the stings behind the scenes?
