In the end of the world, you expect to be alone. Rose has been alone for the first seven months of the apocalypse, one day there is a child in her home. She is determined to find the Dixon boys father, protecting him at all costs even if it's the last thing she does.

"Stop!" A mans' voice called out, I felt a hand wrap around my shoulder turning me around.

"What are you doin' with my nephew?!" He glared me down.

This caused everyone to become silent. "That's Daryl?" She asked. 

The archer looked at his brother bewildered, saying slowly, "That ain't Jacob. Jacob turned. I had to put em' down."

Beatrix and Daryl had never met before. In fact, they lived two completely different lives. Beatrix lived in the city, right beside of the hospital, which is where she spent most of her time. Daryl always put on a mask, an impenetrable facade that made him appear indifferent, as if he didn't care about anything or anyone except for himself. He pushed people away, deliberately keeping them at arm's length, but I knew better. I had seen glimpses of something more beneath that hardened exterior-something real, something human. It wasn't obvious, and it wasn't easy to see, but it was there. I didn't know the full extent of his story, of the pain and the ghosts he carried with him, but I could tell that behind his rough edges, there was a man who cared. The more I watched him, the more I saw that contradiction in him-this mix of isolation and vulnerability. I didn't know him the way I wanted to, but at the same time, there was a strange, inexplicable feeling that I did. It was as if there was something familiar in him, something I recognized, even though we'd never truly shared our pasts. His eyes, especially, told a story all their own-a silent narrative of hurt, survival, and loss. There was a depth there, something raw and honest, as though his life before all of this had shaped him into someone who had learned not to trust, not to hope. I found myself wondering what kind of life he had before the world fell apart-what his family had been like, what his childhood had been shaped by. I could imagine the kind of father he had-a man whose influence left deep scars, someone who might have made Daryl believe that showing emotion or affection was a weakness. It wasn't hard to guess that the lessons Daryl had learned were ones forged in silence and pain, things that had made him pull away from others and close off the softer parts of himself. Before the outbreak she was a cop just like her brother. After Rick got shot and ended up in a coma the world fell apart. The dead came back and started attacking the living. The military fell too quickly, the city was overrun by the dead and now she was at an old quarry only a few miles outside Atlanta with her Sister-In-Law, Nephew, and her brothers best friend. On the way they met a few more people and now had a small group. She slowly grows close the the youngest Dixon brother, Daryl. When they get back from their hunting trip Daryl learns his brother was handcuffed to a roof and left in the city. But what had YN in complete shock and not knowing how to deal with it is the person who did it. Her brother was alive after she already Mourned his death. She blames herself for not double checking to make sure he was really dead or not. Luckily she has a list of rules and guidelines she has been working on as the days of living in a post apocalyptic world with the living dead to keep her busy. And it doesn't hurt to focus on a certain redneck too.

They say the world is over, but I'm still here. If it's the end of days then why are people still alive, maybe the world isn't over perhaps they just have to learn how to survive in this new world. For Lexi Grimes that is a lot easier said than done. Her father was shot a week before the dead began to rise. Now Lexi has to be strong for her little brother Carl and their mother, Lori. Lexi was the one that got her brother and mom packed and ready to leave. While her mom was grabbing family albums and her brother was grabbing comic books, Lexi grabbed her Springfield Sniper, extra ammo, and her silencer. As well as any food that would last a while. She was already pulling out of the driveway to go get her father when Shane came in behind them, driving like a bat out of hell. Shane told them that Rick was dead, and he came to get them to safety, but Lexi didn't want to believe him. Shane had to physically stop Lexi from getting back in their car and driving to the hospital. The only thing that truly stopped her though was the look on her little brother's face, he needed her now more than ever. They never made it to Atlanta though and now Lexi has to navigate a world where the dead walk. Season 1 (Complete) Season 2 (In progress)
