Izuku was timid, a dreamer, well in the eyes of everyone else he was. He sat through school shrinking himself to live through it peacefully. He spent most his time analysing heroes and villains alike as well as his classmates. Katsuki always gave him a hard time but one day Katsuki was invited round Izuku's and he finds a nameless book filled with his and other secrets that could ultimately ruin all of his chances in being a hero.

Katsuki changes up his attitude to Izuku immediately, he had too at all cost not be a target for the boy who he now saw the discrete hint of darkness in the innocent smile. Izuku noticed the change and his book going missing. He honestly didn't mind, having a spare was something Izuku did after years of bullying. What he couldn't get used to was Katsuki growing on him.

What started off as fear, becoming a twisted companionship and somehow Izuku found himself on equal terms with the blonde who called everyone extras. Katsuki still shouted at him like the others but it wasn't hostile anymore, it was a sense of brotherhood Izuku thought they lost when they turned four and Izuku could no longer become Katsuki's partner.
