Today was Sunset Shimmer's birthday, and Pinkie Pie was throwing her a birthday party at her apartment. Fluttershy and Sunset had separated from the rest of the girls to continue their gaming match, which they had started on Shimmer Code. Just as they finished their third round, Fluttershy remembered that she had to leave and head over to the animal shelter. Saying her goodbyes to Sunset, she left. Once she arrives at the animal shelter, she sees a girl sitting on the sidewalk. That girl is Violet Night, the one who volunteered to help out. However, upon introducing herself to Violet, Fluttershy begins to notice something odd about her. It seemed that the new volunteer was skittish and uneasy around her, almost like she had never been near a person before. And she seemed to avoid getting too close or making any eye contact for very long. Yet, despite her oddness, Fluttershy finds Violet to be adorable whenever she becomes flustered around her.
During her time at the shelter, Violet tries to help Fluttershy out with the animals. However, she couldn't keep them from noticing that she wasn't entirely human. And as time wears on, she struggles more to keep her other half in check. Violet managed to keep it under control long enough for her to help Fluttershy with Wilbert, the husky. After all, she didn't want to be the first unhelpful volunteer that Fluttershy had. Soon after though, her other half began to become more prominent, and she had to leave in a hurry.
Violet Night managed to make it close to her grandparents' house before she had to give in to her other half. Running into the nearby woods, she struggles to keep the changes from overwhelming her. Just as Violet gets into a clearing, her body gives way to her other half, and the transformation starts.
"Great news! Wei WuXian has died!"
"Wait- WHAT?!"
"But I'm still here."
The juniors (Lan Sizhui, Lan Jingyi, Jin Ling, and Ouyang Zizhen) accidentally touched an array that teleported the people from the past to an unknown place.
