"Do you remember calling me 'mate?'" he asked softly, pushing her wild curls away from her face. She blushed deeply, but he wouldn't let her look away. "You heard that?" He nodded with a smile. "It was the first thought she ever shared with me." Skylar pursed her lips. "She likes you very much." "What about you?" he teased gently. "How do you feel about me?" She set her jaw and once again managed to look down her nose at him while staring up at him. "Well... well, I'm rather fond of you, Orion." He let out a relieved laugh and pulled her into his chest again. "What a relief. I was worried it was just me." He nuzzled her temple, inhaling deeply, his dragon fully at peace. The words "I love you" were right on the tip of his tongue, but he knew it was too soon for that. He would have to hold them in just a little while longer. "I'm fond of you, too," he whispered in her ear. <><><><><><><><> Skylar lived her life in fear. Fear of exposure, fear of herself, and fear of her future. As a princess and heir to the kingdom, her future was daunting enough. The fact that she turned into dragon and would be killed if anyone found out made it all the worse. So, Skylar lived in constant conflict with the beast within her, all while training to be queen one day. When a fellow king discovers her secret, she is forced to flee or put her entire family in danger. When she meets Orion, the Alpha of a dragon clan, he helps open up a whole new world to her. In this new world, Skylar discovers who she is supposed to be and what she's been hiding from. She finds the beauty of her beast and a love she only ever dreamed of. But then her new world is threatened. It becomes a matter of kill or be killed, so Skylar's new family, with the help of her old, must rise to the challenge to defeat this threat. Or risk the extinction of her kind.

Over 2,000 years have passed on since the nuclear war in [Redacted]. Humanity has managed to slowly rebuild by partially repeating history. Kingdoms and Empires have been brought back into society The year is now [NW 40XX] 30 years ago within this time period there was a world war between humanity and an anthropomorphic insectoid species known as the Mōtharians (Mo-thair-re-ans). After excessive losses the Lepidopteran Confederacy declared to surrender to ensure no more lives could be taken between both sides, but humanity had other plans. Within the North Eastern region of Europe an Empire known as The United Imperial Settlements of Europe (U.I.S.E.) had seen there is merit to this victory for the human race. Within the regions of Spain, Italy, Greece, and the Northern African regions a democratic country known as The S.E.N.A. Republic (Southern European and North African) or SENAR for short shares the same hatred for the Mōtharian race but instead of enslavement the majority of the people demand for them to be butchered. Left and Right Mōtharian homes were being pillaged. Men, women, and children were being taken away to unknown territories. Tribes were being torn apart, the future life for the Mōtharian race was to live in endless chaos or slavery... Mōtharians though they look similar to humans are looked down upon. Some are abused, racially stereotyped, attacked in public, or killed without any reason and even if they're population can grow quicker than ours people still take it for granted. Some would think it would be crazy if a human ever loved a Mōtharian after the war... Well that will definitely be the change of a life time, won't it? [I noticed the SCP story is leaning more into action adventure and not a whole lot of lemons, so to those who want a cozy novel with funny shenanigans and *ahem* "adult content" in a harem-- here you go! 😊]
The Lost Life of Laraine by BearGoRawr

She lead a rather tragic life. The black sheep of her family due to her lack of affinity for fire. Her affinity was quite the opposite. Water in fact. Already in a time when women did not really have much political power or rights, she was outcasted by her family despite being of nobility. Still allowed to live in the distant west wing of the massive Grand Duke's manor, she has never eaten a single meal with her family nor extended family, and has spent her loneliness in her books and sword lessons. Although only taught by the head butler and one of the low ranked knights of the family, she was quite bright and if her family would have given her a chance she would have done great things. If only she didn't die at such a young age. Married off to some "hero" of sort that had slayed the Dragon of the North who was terrorizing the land and threatened the kingdom, this hero also had an affinity for fire and held her in disdain like the rest of her family. Suddenly a girl of another world was transported to their world, picked up by this hero and put into his secure care. The pair soon fell for each other despite the hero's marriage, and many believed Laraine got jealous of this girl of mystery, and tried to kill her. This was definitely not true. But because the girl was favored by the temple and kingdom Laraine was quickly arrested and put on trial. You can probably tell what happened to Laraine. But something strange happened the day of her execution. As soon as her decapitated head hit the ground the sky turned blood red and it began to rain fire. No one survived that day. But for some reason time went back, and Laraine was back to being a child, but with no memory of her future. There were select few in her life, however, that remembered her tragedy and now perhaps will take action to prevent it. NOTE: I'M AWARE THERE ARE A LOT OF INCONSISTENCIES. IT WILL BE EDITED SOME DAY BUT RIGHT NOW I'M JUST TRYING TO FINISH IT.

The Fanalis were a well-known people; the famed hunters and conquerors of the Dark Continent. With legs stronger than steel that could pierce a lion's heart with a single kick, they were a race to be feared. But also on the same land lived a dwindling race of people who were even more ferocious than the Fanalis. Rumored to fight like real monsters by ripping throats with sharp fangs, slicing to shreds with claws like daggers, and wielding the elements like gods in human form, this legendary race was believe to be naught but myth. The Drakonis. With their name akin to the mighty beasts of wing and scale, they fought with an unparalleled ferocity eagerly sought for by armies and empires. They were a deeply religious and strict society with laws that prevented outsiders from mingling to keep their bloodlines pure. As such their numbers began to dwindle and, with the ever growing demand for Drakonis and Fatalis slaves, their species became endangered. They could not be bred to produce more because each Drakonis can only choose one mate and can only have children with that one mate for the rest of their lives. If one mate was to die, then the other would feel like they had lost half their soul, but gaining a mate unlocks a Drakonis' full potential so not choosing a mate is like a bird never learning to fly. Purposeless. With their people hunted and lands razed, the mighty Drakonis faded into legend and their truths became gossip and the gossip became bedtime stories for children who wonder about adventure and travel. But there was one who hid her true identity, one who played human but always remembered her pride and home from whence she came. She took it upon herself to rebuild an empire for her people; one where they would not be threatened with extinction and isolation. But that's quite the tall order for a twelve year old girl, don't you think? She may just need a little help from our favorite miracle child. What do ya say? I only own Raz / my plot changes

Iris Theren has grown up in a small town near the Niam River her entire life. Composed of under 200 people, you'd think residents would know who she was, but her parents have made that impossible, going so far as to not even report her birth when it occurred twenty-three years ago. Cetus and Cassiopeia Theren at one point imagined themselves to be esteemed members of the court, but they overheard whispered questions regarding their loyalties to the crown. Thus, they left Remalna-city years before Iris was born. Their resentment and dislike of the Renselaeus family traveled with them. In their minds, it was the Renselaeuses who caused their fall from "grace" and "good-standing." Only a minor detail that no one truly liked them in the first place. From the moment they left Remalna-city--from the moment Vidanric Renselaeus ascended to the throne with his wife, Meliara Astiar, at his side--they quietly plotted their revenge. Alaraec Renselaeus, firstborn of Mel and Danric and crown prince of Remalna, has now seen twenty-four name days. The exact year the prince is traditionally determined to be old enough to take up some of his royal duties...including finding a potential bride. And thus Cetus and Cassie perceive the moment to strike has finally arrived. NOTE: The setting, history, a couple of the characters, and some of the concepts in this particular story are inspired by Sherwood Smith's novels Crown Duel and Court Duel. One Day More (working title) occurs twenty-five years AFTER the conclusion of Court Duel, basically an alternate future outside of Smith's Remalna's Children novellas.

Will a mutual understanding across cultures be achieved or will tragedy befall natives and foreigners alike? It is the land of Cassion itself which has the answer, as well as it's own lessons to teach them all. After all, as the Cassioni saying goes: "We have much to learn." (Dear potential reader: This is a medievalesque military low fantasy, with little to no supernatural elements: would love to get some feedback :))
