Scars painted his face and neck like silvery snakes. It was like a tapestry of scars. Each of them standing out with different narratives. Underneath the scarred skin was a bone structure of god. Refined and skillful. His topaz eyes held exhaustion, but nevertheless they shimmered like a flickering light in the dark. At that moment she established that he was beautiful. Unequivocally beautiful.
So she told him without any indecision. "You're beautiful."
Her life shifted after those three words. She didn't anticipate if it was for better or worse.
