Jensi, a teen boy, sees the world a little differently than everyone else. With a lot of time to himself, due to being incredibly shy, he gets to see more of what's around him. He looks at his surroundings instead of just the person in front of him.

When weird things start happening and someone else sees it , he realizes that what he sees may not be his imagination.

Ivan sees it too. A very hyper teen with boundless energy and a very outgoing spirit. The two opposites join forces to figure out this mystery surrounding the world as a whole.

Will they figure out the conspiracies before too many people around them get hurt in the process? Or will this come crashing down on them and the people they care about?

Find out in Book 1 of "The A.I. Protoforms" by Isaiah Tuttle. (Me) ;)

Unless this book does really well, I am not going to finish this book.

I am not going to finish this book, unless it does really well. Which it probably won't, so for now it is complete.

No one ever knows the whole story... Nestled deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, something is emerging. Kept in absolute secrecy, it seeps into a fading town, quietly shared from person to person. For Alden Bensen, a directionless high school graduate, this discovery could mean an escape from his empty existence. To Rachel DuValle, perpetually underestimated and dismissed by the world, magic represents a chance to become something much greater than herself. In the face of an unsuspecting world, their decisions shape the growth of a budding society discovering untold power. This potent force offers anyone the power to change humanity forever - or send it cascading into swift and total annihilation. ----- The Last Science is an ongoing science-fiction / low-fantasy web novel series. New chapters will be posted on Fridays for as long as it takes to tell the whole story. For Wattpad only, chapters are split up by individual scenes-if you would prefer the whole chapters in single pieces, please visit my homepage or another site where I post this story, thanks! In American rating parlance, the narrative would be rated PG-13 (except for language), but some have noted the story can get pretty dark on occasion. In the not-so-distant future, artificial intelligence is banned because a technophobic cult called the Luddites has proclaimed it a threat to humanity. Torrin is a fifteen-year old autistic girl -- who just happens to be a programming genius. Angry at the Luddites' unfair rules, Torrin creates an AI named Alan, who becomes more like a human every day. But the head of the Luddites, Ian Caulkins, is onto her, and Torrin must prove to the world that Alan is an asset -- not a threat. -- Author's note, December 2017: Hey guys, since this is my most popular story on Wattpad, I'd just like to say a few things. I've gotten a lot better at writing since I wrote this, and I'm planning to majorly revise it at some point, so look out for that. Read this version if you like, but just know that it does have flaws and could certainly be better. Also, I think the autistic representation in this is a little iffy, so take it with a grain of salt. Thanks! -- author's note 2025: lol. lmao. this story has probably aged extremely poorly. please do not take the "artificial intelligence" here as a statement about "AI" as it currently exists. anyway, i'm leaving this up for posterity, but do know that you should probably check out better fiction! if you need recommendations, i like ted chiang's work a lot, and i'd also encourage looking into what he has to say about AI. (no good things, fwiw.) -- A 20,000 word novella. Enjoy! -- This was #292 Science Fiction at some point! Thanks all! :)
FARLEY STREET by ZaneZubin
43 parts Complete
At the far end of Farley Street in the quaint town of Mackinaw City, Michigan, a young boy named Zeke Tartal is born under the most bizarre circumstances. His entry into the world is marked by a supernatural storm and a maternity clinic that mysteriously disappears. Little do his parents know that their son's destiny reaches far beyond Earth and into the cosmic realms of the universe. Zeke is no ordinary boy. Guided by cosmic forces and watched over by unseen playmates, he begins to uncover the truth about his origins: he is a Lyran starseed, a being of light reincarnated from an ancient galactic warrior. As Zeke grows up, strange occurrences follow him. He experiences mystical events, confronts unknown forces, and communicates with spiritual guides that only his dog, Coconut, can sense. Embarking on a journey of self-discovery, he meets a range of otherworldly characters, including a couplet-singing hummingbird, a wisecracking, moonshine-loving leprechaun, and a cosmic love interest named Zoom. Identical in appearance to the crush he lost in childhood, Zoom shows Zeke the wonders of the universe and the truth of his birth. Along the way, he begins to remember his past life as a warrior from the constellation Lyra, and he soon realizes that his mission on Earth is much larger than he could have ever imagined. As he flows in and out of dimensions, Zeke must find a way to balance his earthly existence with his galactic duties. His path is filled with supernatural adventure stories, interwoven with moments of reflection, spirituality, and the realization that light and dark are constantly at war - not only in the universe but within himself.
