{A story about love and lost, forgetting those who used to mean so much and realising just how much you've missed them}

"Objection Your Honor!"
"Overruled!"

No matter how much Nat tries to deny it she has always had a thing for Zach. Even though there has been spots where Nat felt she finally got rid of her feelings for him they seemed to come running back.

Nat is now 23 having finished her law degree she is now working as a Barister in the State Prosecutor's office with promise of hopefully becoming a QC. One night she goes out on the town with the girls and she happens to see Zach. Thankfully he doesn't see her (or so she thinks). After talking to her best friend Dani she realises that she still has feelings for him and just when she thought she had gotten over what had happened she suddenly feels the need to resolve it if she has any chance of moving on in the future.

Can Nat get over her past before it controls her future? Will things between Zach and her ever be the same? Will her objection be overruled or sustained? Find out when the jury's out.

In the fall after her high school graduation, Danielle Davis has been spending her days lying alone in her shared New York City apartment. Attempting to fill the ticking time, she fills her moments painting empty canvases and ignoring her roommate as much as she possibly can without her actually noticing. But she can only go so long without seeing her, and at their once a month lunch date her roommate brings along a guest. Maren. Excerpt: She was paler than I first remember her, wearing clothes three times larger than her own frame, little effort put into her outfit compared to the first time I met her. She looked confused too for a second, and then she leaned down to pull her sandals off, making herself comfortable in someone else's home. Maren didn't seem like the kind of girl to spontaneously show up at someone's house, maybe I had misjudged her. "Beth's not here." My face remained blank while we made eye contact, she stood up, her natural height just a little taller than my own. Her gaze settled on me, her eyebrows were slightly furrowed. Head to toe, and back again her eyes flickered. She didn't answer my statement. "I didn't think you'd be here." "I live here." I deadpan, she's leaning against the door now, pulling her phone out of her pocket. "I know." *** This is my NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) project for this year! This is a raw, unfinished first draft of a story I've cooked up to keep me warm in the winter. Don't be surprised if there's incomplete sentences, memory problems, and forgotten moments. Writing a first draft is about getting the words on the paper and moving on. Editing will begin after I've finished the novel. Hmu writing buddies. ;)

'You don't even know me,' He shrugged. 'I feel like I do.' 'True, I feel the same way. I don't know, like a pull... What was your name in highschool?' I asked with widened eyes. 'What school did you attend?' 'My name was RW, why?' My head swelled as images flashed in my head, no wonder I felt it. 'You are the jerk who got my drink doctored and raped me! You took my virginity!' ~~~ Kristal, a beautiful lady in her late thirties, a feminist and sharp mouthed peacock. Money was the least of her problem, power, she had her brother, cousin and friend to get that for her if she wanted. She was a hardworking woman, a blogger and a good friend. The only thing that bothered her was forgetting the devil that took her pride away and fled, forgetting the touch of the guy that took advantage of her. Her love life was a mess as she couldn't find the right man to fill the emptiness in her life and heart, the right man to erase the one she was forever stuck with. Ryan Walker, a medical doctor who had lived half his life in Italy, lived in regret and depression in the inside but jovial to the outside. His regret revolved around the last shit he did before leaving his birth country, getting stuck with the image of just one girl, drowning in unsatisfaction just for one person. Tired of sleepless nights; nights of regrets, a life of depression and pain, he decided it was time he fixed his mistake; he was going to claim what he should have claimed a long time ago.

I stared at the person sitting on the chair in front of me. That instant I realised that I didn't know this person at all. This was not the person I have been living with. This person just looked like that person. There was nothing same except the looks. The pose, the expression, the emotions in the voice, nothing matched. I couldn't believe that it is the same person. "Doesn't mean anything?" I asked with a low voice as anger filled me. "Yes, it was only a Vegas Mishap." ********************************************************************************** When Ophelia Russo traveled from Italy to the United States, she had no idea what was going to happen to her. Wanting to forget all her worries and the stress of managing a fast growing business, one night she finds herself in a bar in Las Vegas, and in the company of the very handsome businessman, Ethan Welsh, who himself is on a vacation for a break from his womanizing life in Greece. Two hot people, one lively night in Vegas and a few drinks down, what do you expect to happen? No, no. If it was just a one night stand that had happened, it wouldn't have been this bad. What had actually happened was no less than the worst nightmare for Ethan and Ophelia. Suddenly, it becomes more than just a vacation for the Italian girl and the Greek man when they wake up married to each other. What follows is a love story, you think? It's a messed-up destiny, I bet. After all, it can't be just A Vegas Mishap. ************************************************************************************************** Warning: Contains mature scenes and swearing. May contain sensitive topics or some violence. It includes morally gray characters. Note: This is a standalone book but a part of a series. Can be read in any order.
